JULIA REMINGTON, LCSW

Julia is a proud member of the Oneida tribe of Wisconsin who moved to Texas to seek warmth and higher education.  Julia graduated from UT-Austin in 2007 with a Master's degree in Social Work. Julia has extensive clinical experience and has worked in a psychiatric hospital, a local emergency room, a pediatric clinic, a domestic violence shelter, a continuing care retirement community, and in the local school district.  Julia's connection to the earth has prioritized assisting clients to heal with the help of nature. Julia's 10+ years of supervising social work interns highlights her passion for supporting the next generation of social workers to reach their potential. Julia lives in Austin with her wonderful husband, three rambunctious young boys, a spoiled rescue greyhound, and an aloof but much loved cat.  In her free time, Julia can be found enjoying the local parks with her family, hiking, playing beach volleyball, swimming, camping, reading science fiction, volunteer coaching her son's basketball team, fostering dogs/kittens from local shelters/rescues, or doing a good puzzle.
